Burlesque is first and foremost a performance. It is a mostly pg-13 striptease with a story line. Imagine that people don’t usually remember “that” you stripped but remember “HOW” you stripped. I like to call it “sexy with a purpose.” It has been utilize as a tool of expression and sexual liberation by many of its performers. Imagine cabaret dancer with a striptease.
